Exploring Kenya

Kenya has been described as the "Cradle of Mankind", "Africa in one country!" "The quintessential safari country." It is without doubt a country of great beauty. Visitors leave the country with a deep unconditional love for the people of Kenya. People I meet always comment,

"Oh, how I miss Kenya...the smiles... mountains...and of course the beer, Tusker or White Cap!"

For others it is the deep faith of the people, a country which has one of the highest amounts of missionaries and Christians per square kilometre, a rich Asian and Islamic culture, and a unique history and stories of the European pioneers and settlers which draws them to Kenya. Where do you start if you wish to learn about Kenya? Which areas should you explore first? What is the difference between a white and black rhino? And of course because people have watched a lot of Tarzan movies...are there any tigers in Africa? (If you know the answer to this, i.e. not including those in a zoo please get in touch!)

So why not explore Kenya, through the eyes and experiences of different people and make up your mind about the issues, joys and hardships faced by the people and animals that live there.

Remember think Global, and act local.

Safari njema! Safe journey! Pleasant surfing!
