Defeat the Terrorists - Visit Kenya!

Kikambala and Mombasa Airport Terrorist Attacks

In December 2002 we sent our deepest condolences and prayers to the families of those who lost their lives during the attack at Paradise Hotel, Kikambala. We continue to pray for the speedy recovery for all those injured and traumatised by this event. For the people of Kenya, be strong. The taking of innocent life has achieved nothing, will only strengthen the resolve of those fighting for justice and peace in this world. If you would like to be of assistance contact: William Ang’awa and he will point to the right directions. You can find more background information on the BBC website.

Still alive and kicking — visit www.dianibeach,com — useful site about and information for visitors to the Kenyan coast.

Potential visitors to Kenya should read the travel advice we have on this website.

Syria refuses to join resolution condemning Mombasa terrorist attacks

Kenyans and friends around the world were appalled by the stance taken by Syria’s UN Security Council representative. Syria refused to condemn the attacks of even though the majority of casualties were Kenyans because the wordings made Israel appear as a victim.

VSO Opportunities

South to South Opportunities for Kenyans to work in other developing countries

The world’s largest independent volunteer sending agency are starting to recruit qualified and experienced Kenyans to work in our programmes in Africa, Asia and East and Central Europe. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for Kenyans to share their skills and learn about another culture elsewhere in the developing world. Volunteers will live and work in ways, which are sensitive to the cultural values of others and develop relationships, based on shared circumstances and mutual respect.

Most jobs are for a two-year period and offer the potential for sharing skills and building capabilities. Such jobs provide a structure within which a volunteer can build relationships and work effectively while serving the needs of disadvantaged people.

If you are interested please send a detailed CV with a covering letter outlining why you want to volunteer with us.
